Viktor is a software engineer and designer. With a passion for empowering people with information, he’s developed augmented reality products in Android, iOS, React Native, and Unity. He is the developer behind the open source library and service insert3D.com which is the fastest way for developers to create and embed 3D model scans. Previously for two years he worked as the Head of Product for Menu3, one of the highest rated AR iOS apps in the food and beverage space. He currently designs and develops heads-up-display software for a Fortune 1 company, using augmented reality to increase the speed and accuracy of order picking.

Vik Parthiban

Vik Parth is passionate about teams and technologies that shape how people interact with digital information and the physical world. He currently is the Director of Product and Innovation at Arrow Electronics and Research Affiliate at MIT. For his graduate work at the MIT Media Lab, Vik developed holographic interfaces and new AR/VR hardware. He also served as the team captain of the MIT Hyperloop II team in collaboration with Elon Musk’s SpaceX and The Boring Company. Prior to MIT, Vik helped create the Magic Leap One with the Advanced Photonics division at Magic Leap. His work has been featured at MIT, Wired, SXSW, and TEDx. Vik has a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, and Master of Media Arts and Sciences at the MIT Media Lab.

Jesse McCulloch

Jesse McCulloch is a Mixed Reality Developer Relations Program Manager at Microsoft. Starting as a Mixed Reality Developer in 2016, he built up a strong community around HoloLens and Immersive Headsets, and then joined Microsoft in 2018. This gives him a very unique perspective and strong desire to advocate strongly for the developers who are supporting the platform. Sue Loh

Ben Wilhelm

Ben is an Emmy-winning immersive storyteller and R&D engineer at The New York Times. Working at the intersection of emergent technology and journalism, his team seeks to understand how news can benefit from the latest tech and to implement the tools whereby the newsroom can leverage those benefits. Areas of research include machine learning, environmental photogrammetry, 5G, spatial computing, and others. With members of the NYT Graphics desk, Ben prototyped and co-produced the Times' first augmented reality news articles. He also co-developed the technologies that deliver NYT multimedia in articles on nytimes.com, including the bespoke video and audio player, photo slideshow, and inline photo viewer.

Eva Wolfangel

Eva Wolfangel is a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT, an award winning science and reportage jounalist as well as a speaker and moderator focusing on future technologies. Currently she is exploring social VR as a medium and space for journalists and their audience. Eva loves interdisciplinary cooperations in innovative projects. Most recently, she worked with computer linguists on a tool that supports investigative journalistic research via text mining and machine learning. Caitlin Krause

Caitlin specializes in UX design, story, and wellbeing in XR. She works as a scriptwriter and VR/AR story designer in digital therapeutics with a focus on mental health VR, using mindfulness, guided imagery, HCD, biofeedback, BA and CBT. Founder of the consultancy MindWise, Caitlin launched her book Mindful by Design (Corwin Press, 2019) at the World Economic Forum and spoke about the Future of Education, SciFi and Immersive Technology. Through her leadership and organizational consulting, she helps individuals and teams create connection in the midst of complexity and change. She recently created a mindfulness and SEL series in social VR, fusing presence, storytelling, curiosity and emotional intelligence.

Luisa is a Design Technologist at PTC working on the future of the augmented workforce. With a background in Computer Science, Human-Centered Design and Digital Arts she lives at the intersection of design and development. Eileen McGivney

Eileen is currently a PhD student at Harvard studying educational technology and human development, with an eye to the power of immersive technologies to shape young people's identities and ideologies and promote intercultural competence. At Harvard, she has conducted research on a virtual world-based middle school science curriculum, the experiences of women in makerspaces, and cultural and gender differences learning in MOOCs. Prior to her studies, she worked at Brookings in Washington, DC where she studied technology and innovation in education around the globe, at the Education Reform Initiative in Istanbul, Turkey, and in grassroots political organizing with young people.

Timmy Ghiurau

Timmy Ghiurau leads Volvo Cars’ initiative around virtual and augmented reality, and works with virtual simulations, eye tracking, and Virtual Reality (VR) as enablers for self-driving cars and user experience research. Though he wouldn’t call himself a car person, Timmy quickly fell in love with the automotive industry as a Masters thesis student at Volvo’s Copenhagen office in 2014. It wasn’t just because he felt that Volvo tried to redefine mobility and push for innovation, safety and sustainability – he also resonated with the development of a product that will be multiplied and accessible to millions of users. After having given the rock star career a stab in his teens, Timmy’s maths skills, C++ knowledge and interest in game engines put him on the path to be a software developer focused on eye tracking and VR. That path lead him to work closely with the founders of game engine Unity; to a stint at Danish eye-tracking start-up The Eye Tribe (later acquired by Facebook’s VR division Oculus); and to a few patents in foveated rendering (an advanced technology used in VR head-sets). At Volvo Cars, he puts his knowledge into use by setting the trend on how car companies use game engines and AR/VR technologies in their development.Timmy holds a Master’s degree in Innovative Communication Technologies and Entrepreneurship from Aalborg University in Copenhagen, regularly advises both tech and fashion companies, and helps Volvo Cars' Tech Fund with spotting new opportunities in tech start-ups.

Dulce E Baerga

Dulce Baerga has been producing interactive content for over 20 years. Building sites ranging from entertainment based portals to product based community site. She’s a self-taught full stack developer, front-end engineer and network/IT manager who’s passionate about augmented reality and virtual reality platforms. Her skill set includes developing concepts, programming demos, creating UI/UX design, scripting user interactivity, building 3D simulations, creating virtual products, and building webXR apps. She’s also an active resident of multiple virtual worlds, top prize winner at XR related hackathons, and deeply embedded in the XR community. Dulce is currently pushing the edges of the immersive web and augmented reality, creating XR MVPs for clients and collaboration projects. Lars Riedemann, MD

Lars Riedemann is a physician-scientist trained in neurology and biomedical engineering. He is also a full-stack programmer and consultant working at the intersection of healthcare and immersive technologies. Lars currently works as a physician-scientist at the Heidelberg University Hospital, the German Cancer Research Center and the National Center for Tumor Diseases in Heidelberg, Germany. As a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School he developed new biomedical imaging systems in close collaboration with the MIT.
